Privacy Policy

VocabCross: English Puzzle is an offline-first vocabulary game with advertising and optional rewarded hints. This policy explains what information is stored locally and what information may be processed by third-party services included in the app.
Information stored on your device
VocabCross stores the following information locally:
- the player name you choose;
- CEFR level, puzzle length, interface language, music volume, and sound preferences;
- scores, spendable points, EXP, player level, completed-puzzle count, daily streak, and word-learning progress;
- unfinished puzzle entries, used hints, active solving time, and pending result or reward state.
The app does not operate its own email/password account system. Android system backup is disabled for this local profile. The chosen player name and puzzle answers are not attached to Firebase Analytics events.
Firebase Analytics
VocabCross uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand feature use and improve the game. Firebase automatically measures events such as first open and sessions. The app also measures puzzle starts and completions, hint use, rewarded-ad completion, daily check-ins, streak recovery, double-point rewards, and result sharing.
Event parameters may include CEFR level, puzzle length and number, word count or length, hint source and point cost, score, EXP, rewarded points, streak length, missed-day count, selected interface language, device country or region, and whether a solution was revealed. Depending on device and service settings, Firebase may process app-instance or device identifiers, app and device information, diagnostics, advertising identifiers, and coarse location inferred from an IP address.
Advertising and consent
VocabCross uses Google Mobile Ads to display an adaptive banner, full-screen interstitials at natural transitions after completed puzzles, and optional rewarded ads. Rewarded ads may provide a letter hint, repeat the spendable points earned in a completed puzzle, or restore an eligible daily streak. They do not double EXP, best score, or lifetime score.
Google and its advertising partners may process device information, IP address, advertising identifiers where available, ad interactions, diagnostics, fraud-prevention signals, and consent choices to provide and measure advertising. VocabCross uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and store advertising privacy choices where required. Players can revisit those choices from the app when the option is required.
Google Play Games
If Google Play Games Services is enabled in a published build, Google may authenticate the player's Play Games identity. This platform identity is separate from the local VocabCross profile. The game remains usable without a developer-operated VocabCross account.
Sharing and service providers
Information described above may be processed by Google as the provider of Firebase Analytics, Google Mobile Ads, the User Messaging Platform, and optional Play Games Services. VocabCross does not sell the locally chosen player name or puzzle answers. When a player chooses Share Result, the app sends the prepared text to the Android share sheet; Zangord does not receive the selected destination or message through VocabCross.
Retention, deletion, and security
Local game data remains until the player clears the app's storage or uninstalls the app. Either action deletes the locally stored profile and progress. Data processed by Google is retained according to Google's service settings and policies. Network communications made by Google SDKs use encrypted connections.
Children
VocabCross is not directed specifically to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect a child's chosen local player name through VocabCross Analytics.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app or its service providers change. The date at the top of this policy will be revised when changes are published.
